HOLLISWOOD HOSPITAL
As part of the Liberty Homeland Support Network, The Holliswood Hospital is honored to have the opportunity to provide assistance to Veterans and their families in their times of need.
The Holliswood Hospital is a private treatment facility located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Queens, New York. The hospital’s Recovery From Traumatic Stress Program (RTS) is a comprehensive inpatient treatment alternative for anyone who is currently having difficulties related to stressful events they experienced pre-deployment, in-theater, or related to post-deployment adjustment.
The RTS Program recognizes that recovery from the aftereffects of combat stress and other traumatic experiences must focus not only on “the mind”, or “the body”, but rather must embrace an integrated approach that focuses on the mind, the body, and the spirit in unison. Working holistically, a multidisciplinary team of accomplished clinicians collaborates with clients and their loved ones to develop a plan for treatment that is tailored to each client’s individual needs. In a caring and supportive way, our treatment team helps clients not only to develop coping strategies and therapeutically grow from their symptoms, but to also begin to understand the underlying patterns and origins of the difficulties they are currently confronting.
Within the RTS program, clients are able to take part in a combination of individual and group therapies demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of symptoms related to trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. These treatments include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, a wide range of Cognitive–Behavioral Treatments, and the use of medications as indicated. Education for both clients and their families is a hallmark of the RTS Program, and assistance for families including marital/family therapy and family support groups is available on-site. Other therapies that are integral to the RTS Program include trauma-focused yoga, meditation, and access to Spiritual/Pastoral Counseling.
The RTS Program at The Holliswood Hospital is a military-friendly program who’s staff afford the men and women who have become injured in mind and body while serving our country the honor and respect they are due. It is truly our honor to be able to give back to those who have sacrificed for us, and we are hopeful that we can foster the development and growth necessary for individuals and their families to reconnect to themselves and the things that are important to them.

Arms Acres is a 129-bed residential alcoholism and substance abuse treatment facility situated on a beautiful 54 acre site in Carmel, NY.
Easily accessible from New York City and elsewhere in the northeast, the facility offers comprehensive services for the treatment of alcoholism and substance abuse in a tranquil setting
conducive to recovery.
Arms Acres is a private health care system providing high quality, cost-effective care to those suffering from alcoholism and chemical dependency and to the many whose lives are affected by the diseases of addiction. |
